Islamic Finance

(NACIF 2025)
THEME: The Social Impact of Islamic Finance
Islamic Finance: A Value-Based Approach to Sustainable Growth
In an era of increasing financial turbulence, ethical considerations in finance have become more critical than ever. The instability in global financial markets stems largely from flawed corporate practices, regulatory loopholes, and an erosion of ethical values in business operations. The consequences of corporate misconduct, financial scandals, and unsustainable financial practices highlight the urgent need for a fundamental shift toward ethical and responsible finance.

Islamic finance offers a value-based alternative by emphasizing transparency, ethical business conduct, sustainability, and social responsibility. The North American Conference on Islamic Finance (NACIF) serves as a platform to explore these principles and their practical applications, fostering a financial ecosystem that is equitable, stable, and aligned with societal well-being.

Welcome Message
Message from the Executive Committee
Welcome to the Third North American Conference on Islamic Finance (NACIF 2025)!

The NACIF Executive Committee is pleased to extend a warm welcome on behalf of NACIF’s  Organizing Committees and the Board of Trustees of Guidance College, Texas, United States.

This year’s theme, "The Social Impact of Islamic Finance," highlights Islamic finance's vital role in fostering economic and social well-being. With over five million Muslims residing in the United States, there is a growing need to educate and engage communities on the broader impact of Islamic financial principles. We are honored to collaborate with the Muslim Philanthropy Initiative to facilitate meaningful discussions on this important topic.

For over a decade, Guidance College has been committed to providing quality education in religious studies and Islamic finance, contributing to the socio-economic advancement of the Muslim community. NACIF continues this mission by serving as a dynamic platform for scholars, academics, and practitioners to explore the untapped potential of Islamic financial products and services in North America.

As we gather at this conference, NACIF’s goal is to foster thought-provoking discussions and innovative ideas that will drive Islamic finance education and outreach forward. More than just a forum for academic exchange, NACIF is a hub for networking and collaboration, connecting North American Islamic finance professionals with the global community to advance the industry’s growth in the region.

This event is an opportunity to celebrate past achievements, strengthen professional relationships, and explore future research and development in Islamic finance. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our sponsoring organizations for their generous support and to all participants whose contributions make this conference possible.

We look forward to welcoming you in October 2025 for an enriching and inspiring experience.
